Badges suffer from a lack of definition. Differences in the issuer, academic context, and time frame make aligning definitions for similar credentials difficult. LAiSER gives badges a foundation by helping align different offerings to a single context. We will explore how issuers can use LAiSER to align curriculum with current employment demand, publish badges with grounded skill definitions, and identify core competencies while exploring future opportunities.
