About me
I am a community-engagement professional, educator, social science researcher, and designer of digital learning resources and educational spaces. Before my current position with the CU Boulder Office for Outreach and Engagement, I worked for over two decades on STEM/STEAM, new literacies and multiliteracies research in formal, informal and digital spaces. In the past and today, my work with educators and communities often focuses on nondominant groups (e.g. low income, Latino, immigrant background, women). I take a network, ecological and activity theoretical approach to building relationships across diverse perspectives, discourses and stakeholders. The overall goal of my work is to collaboratively develop programs that are personally, socially and academically consequential for all involved in joint endeavors.
