About me
Dr. Marilys Galindo is the Senior Research Project Manager for the Center for Learner Pathways team at Digital Promise. At Digital Promise, she researched the motivators behind high micro-credential earners, implemented micro-credentials and learning and employment records in K12, equitable and inclusive research practices, and learning and employment records design principles. Aside from supporting the research and development of projects, she incorporates diverse, equitable, and inclusive practices into her work. Before joining Digital Promise, she developed, launched, and administered a micro-credential program to recognize competencies acquired by the childcare workforce in Palm Beach County, Florida. Dr. Galindo has 10 years of experience in early childhood education and higher education and over 8 years of experience in elementary and middle school education. She has served as a teacher, department chair, curriculum writer, curriculum specialist, instructional designer, and manager during her career. She earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Florida International University, an M.S. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology from Nova Southeastern University, an M.S. in Educational Leadership and Policy from Florida State University, and an Ed. D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Florida International University. Dr. Galindo is passionate about promoting and fostering innovative teaching and learning environments that are equitable and inclusive while conducive to academic excellence.
