About me
Phil is a consultant at the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation T3 Innovation Network assisting with digital credentialing, identity, & related standards. He’s also a Senior Fellow at Georgetown University’s Center for New Designs in Learning & Scholarship, an advisor to ASU’s Enterprise Technology organization for digital credentials & identity management. He contributes to the W3C VCDM v2.0 Work Group, W3C VC-EDU taskforce, & 1Edtech Credentials Work Group, among others. His background is in Biology Ph.D. (behavioral ecology, PSU), with a post-doc at the Institute for Animal Behavior (Rutgers Univ), before getting a real job. He’s worked in public & private sector roles, & at 14 universities including Seton Hall Univ., MIT, the University of Queensland, closing this chapter as Assoc. Vice Provost of Learning Sciences & CiNO at the University of Texas at Austin to enter & fail at retirement. Phil enjoys running, travel, sailing & a good single malt scotch.
